چکیده
Background: The use of ultrasound for immediate management life-threatening conditions is one among the main changes these last decades. Lung has become more and popular in first decade 21st century, both neonatal paediatric age groups. lung may be tool differential diagnosis respiratory distress newborns. Aims objectives: To assess diagnostic role point care neonates presented with analyse possibility initiating protocol based on finding. Methods: Present non-randomized study-a hospital analytical cross-sectional study was carried out 60 patients a period 18 months (January 2020-30 June 2021). Neonates suffering from (Pulmonary cause Downe’s score >4) were included. Routine investigations, USG chest x-ray examination recorded. Detailed perinatal history obtained. Results: Mode delivery LSCS 38.3% vaginal 61.7% subjects. mode support CPAP 33.3% ventilator 66.7% Mean birth weight population 2003.51±767.35 grams. Final present shows that majority had syndrome (38.33%) followed by asphyxia (28.33%) TTNB (11.66%). A total 25.0% Downes 4, 16.7% 5, 6, 26.7% 7 6.7% 8 score. X-ray findings showed sensitivity 56.67% positive predictive value 100% observed. On basis findings, 93.22% 98.21% observed. Conclusions: non-invasive, bedside repeatable method could improve distress. Neonatal useful predictor need intubation over x-ray. Combined consolidation, pleural line abnormalities absence most specific RDS which patients.

conclusions ctr is the most common method of describing the heart size. increased ctr in cxr is associated with poor prognosis, which is suggestive of importance and necessity of early diagnosis. although cxr may not have the same diagnostic accuracy as echocardiography, its easy accessibility and high specificity in diagnosis of cardiomegaly is very helpful, which can play an important and a c...
متن کاملLung Ultrasound (LUS) and neonatal respiratory distress
Introduction Neonatal lung diseases are often a diagnostic dilemma for the clinician due to the low sensitivity and specificity of clinical signs and symptoms. In the last decade of the previous century the use of ultrasound in the diagnostic work-up of adult respiratory diseases became widely used [1,2]. The purpose of this paper is to update the knowledges on LUS in the most common neonatal r...

Background: Chest X-rays (CXRs) are traditionally performed to determine intra-thoracic injuries in all blunt chest trauma patients in Shahid Bahonar hospital in Kerman. As there are some disadvantages upon CXR and radiation exposure, therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the role of CXR in the diagnosis of intra-thoracic injuries caused by any blunt chest trauma. Me...
